Guest Speaker Michael C. Maibach
Michael Maibach is a seasoned professional in global business diplomacy, advisor to non-profit organizations, and a supporter of vital civic causes.
From 2003 to 2012 he was President & CEO of the European-American Business Council, a group of 75 multinational companies with offices in Washington DC and Brussels, Belgium.
From 1983 to 2001 Mr. Maibach was Vice President of Global Government Affairs for the Intel Corporation. He worked closely with its four founders, Robert Noyce, Gordon Moore, Andy Grove and Les Vadasz. At Intel he built a team of 150 professionals around the world advancing the company’s business diplomacy.
From 1976 to 1983 he was a Government Affairs Manager at Caterpillar, Inc. in Illinois, California, and Washington DC. His initial job at CAT was as a machine shop foreman in their tractor factory in his hometown of Peoria, Illinois.
Today he is a Distinguished Fellow on American Federalism at Save Our States, an organization dedicated to defending the Founders’ Federalism and the Constitution’s Electoral College. He is also the Founder of the Center For the Electoral College. In 2020 he was elected by his party to be a Virginia Presidential Elector.
Michael is a Trustee of the James Wilson Institute, the Witherspoon Institute, the Institute of World Politics, and several other non-profit Boards.
Mr. Maibach has earned seven university degrees. While earning his first degree, he was elected to the DeKalb County Board in Illinois, becoming the first person elected to public office under 21 years of age in American history. In 1992 he was a candidate for the US Congress in California’s Silicon Valley. The voters demanded he remain in private industry!
Michael is a native of Peoria, Illinois. He spent his Intel career in California’s Silicon Valley. He has lived in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia for 20+ years, and also has a home in Naples, Florida.
