“Growing mosquito control to keep up with a growing county.”

Patrick Linn joined the Collier Mosquito Control District (the District) in 2007 as a pilot charged with planning and safely executing aerial missions to protect Collier residents and visitors from both disease-carrying and nuisance mosquitoes.

In 2016, the District’s Board of Commissioners appointed Linn to the Executive Director position. He is tasked with maintaining the District’s integrated mosquito management and is dedicated to the District’s core mission of protecting public health and enhancing the quality of life in the community, all with sensitivity to the environment.

Linn is a commercial pilot for both fixed-wing and rotorcraft. He also maintains certification as a flight instructor, instrument flight instructor, and multi-engine instructor. While his position as Executive Director requires much more time on the ground, he continues to pilot aerial missions to keep in touch with all facets of the operation.

Linn’s formal education includes a BS in Health and Exercise Science from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, an MS in Exercise Science from Southern Illinois University, and another MS in Human Anatomy & Physiology Instruction from New York Chiropractic College. He has worked as an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Sciences, keeps an active real estate sales license, and has worked as a commercial airline pilot. He is also a commercial pilot and maintains certification as a flight instructor.

He very much enjoys being outdoors, spending time with his wife, two children, and adopted animals. He also enjoys paddle boarding, motorcycling, and swimming.

In addition to our main speaker, Dan Mullin will provide a brief introduction of Wounded Warriors of Collier County and their rollout of a 3-year strategy to provide housing for Veterans who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless, in Collier County.

Our goal is to ensure “No Veteran is left Behind” by providing a “Hand Up” we can eliminate the homeless issue for Veterans in Collier County.  Our goal is “Functional Zero”
