Bio
John Bachman is the Anchor of John Bachman Now, and the Senior Vice President of Content for Newsmax TV. He joined Newsmax Media after more than a decade working as a TV producer, anchor and reporter in Atlanta, Augusta, GA and West Palm Beach Florida. He’s also covered special assignments for CBS News, CNN, and Fox News.
Bachman met Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy while on assignment covering an appearance of former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin at the company’s Florida headquarters in 2011.
After that initial conversation with Ruddy, he pursued a job at Newsmax. The rest, as they say, is history.
Since joining Newsmax in 2011, Bachman has traveled the country and won an award for a documentary he wrote and produced for Newsmax to commemorate 40 American Heroes – which coincided with a special edition of Newsmax Magazine.
Bachman help launch Newsmax TV back in 2015, and currently The new TV network’s total household audience reach jumped to 9.6 million in August, up from 2.9 million in August of 2019 — a 231% increase.
Bachman loves to give politicians a hard time during interviews and enjoys covering politics and news from “outside the beltway” – a perspective he shares with most of America.
When he’s not reading or covering the latest political news, John enjoys spending time with his wife Arie and their three children, Annabelle (8), Walker (3) & Adeline (1). He also enjoys cheering for the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs.
Bachman graduated from the University of Georgia in 2003 with degrees in Political Science and Journalism. He was born in Atlanta. He currently resides in Tequesta, Florida.
